What the service covers — and what it doesn't
So it's clear from the start where our work ends. Please read this section in full.
Under a power of attorney, we will
- file your trade licence notification and collect the extract,
- register your accommodation facility with UbyPort and eTurista,
- register you for the accommodation fee at one municipal office.
Not included in the price
- Administrative and official fees — you pay those directly to the authority.
- Your Best Guest subscription.
- Tax and accounting advice (VAT, identified person, income tax).
- Legal review of your lease, building-association consent or change-of-use approval.
- Representing you during an inspection or in administrative proceedings.
- Backdated reports or arrears for guests you hosted in the past.
The price covers up to three listings, one person or company, and one municipality.

The power of attorney is narrow and covers only the registrations listed above. You get the invoice up front.

We file the notifications, register you and request your credentials. We keep you posted on where things stand.

We configure Best Guest
Property, listings, calendars and guest reporting. We test all of it on a trial reservation.

We hand back a working property
A one-hour training session and a summary of what the system now does for you on its own.
Our part is usually done within ten business days of receiving your documents and signed power of attorney. Processing times at the authorities — particularly the issuing of UbyPort credentials — are outside our control and we can't guarantee them.

Questions about done-for-you setup
Do I need Best Guest for you to handle my registrations?
Yes. Done-for-you setup is a service for our customers — we complete the registrations and configure your property in Best Guest at the same time, so guest reporting runs by itself from day one. The one-time fee pays for our work with the authorities; the subscription pays for the software.
How long does the whole thing take?
Our part is usually done within ten business days of receiving your documents and signed power of attorney. After that it's down to the authorities — issuing UbyPort credentials and registering a trade licence both run on their own timelines, which we don't control. So we can't guarantee a specific date for your credentials.
Is this legal advice?
No. It's an administrative service — we complete and file the forms for you under a power of attorney. Legal review (lease, building-association consent, change-of-use approval) and tax advice (VAT, identified person) are not included. If such a question comes up, we'll flag it and recommend a solicitor or a tax adviser.
What if I already have some of it sorted?
That's common — plenty of hosts have a trade licence but are missing UbyPort or the fee registration. On the intro call we go through what you already have and finish the rest. The price doesn't change, but the work gets done faster.
I have more than three listings. What will it cost?
Up to ten listings we charge the surcharge in the rate card above for each listing beyond the first three. From ten listings, several companies, or listings across several municipalities we'll prepare an individual quote — larger portfolios are a different job and we'd rather price them honestly.
Do we have to meet in person?
No. Most of it we handle remotely over a shared screen; we only need the power of attorney and a few documents. We offer in-person meetings in and around Prague, and elsewhere by arrangement.
What if the registration doesn't go through?
If it turns out your case can't be handled within the scope of this service — because of a foreign company or a missing change-of-use approval, say — we'll tell you as soon as we know and refund the proportion of the price for work we didn't do. What we can't guarantee is the authority's decision; that isn't ours to make.
