Best Guest Referral Program Terms

1. Who may participate

1.1. Both a guest (a person with a Best Guest guest-app account) and a host (a user of the Service under the Host Terms and Conditions) may participate in the program — together, the “Referrer”.

1.2. Every Referrer receives a unique link and code upon registration, which they may use to refer the Service to another accommodation provider (the “Referred Host”).

2. Reward eligibility

2.1. A reward accrues progressively: each time the Referred Host, having registered for the Service via the Referrer’s link or code, makes a payment to the Provider that is actually settled, the Referrer earns 50% of that payment’s value, calculated ex-VAT and net of any discounts or credits already reflected in the amount charged. Where a rounding step is required (splitting the payment, converting it into the Referrer’s own reward currency, or applying the cap in §2.2), the Provider always rounds down, in the Provider’s favor.

2.2. The total reward earned by a Referrer from any one referral is capped at CZK 1,000, or EUR 40 in the Referrer’s own reward currency (see §3). Once this cap is reached, no further reward accrues from that Referred Host’s subsequent payments.

2.3. No reward accrues from a payment that is later refunded, reversed, or otherwise fails to settle. Where the Provider identifies that an amount already reflected in an earned or paid reward should not have been, the Provider may reduce future accrual to compensate, flag the reward for manual review, or, in the case of clear abuse, reclaim a reward already paid.

2.4. No reward is earned if the Provider determines the referral was contrived (in particular, a Referrer registering their own or a related account in order to obtain a reward) or otherwise in breach of these Program Terms. In such a case the Provider may decline to grant the reward, or reclaim a reward already granted.

2.5. The Provider may cancel any individual referral at any time, at its sole discretion, with or without stating a reason. Cancellation stops all further accrual under that referral and voids any unspent credit granted under §3.2. A cash reward already paid, or credit already applied to an invoice, is not reclaimed as a result of such cancellation, except in the case of fraud or a breach described in §2.4.

2.6. A Referrer’s earned reward becomes claimable or payable only after manual review and approval by the Provider; no part of a reward is paid or credited automatically upon accrual.

3. Reward amount and form

3.1. Guest as Referrer: a cash reward, accruing under §2, in CZK or EUR matching the referred host’s own billing currency, paid by bank transfer to the IBAN the guest provides when claiming the reward. Once provided, the same IBAN is used for any further payout under the same referral.

3.2. Host as Referrer: a credit, accruing under §2, in CZK or EUR matching the Referrer’s own billing currency, applied automatically to their next invoice(s) once approved by the Provider under §2.6.

3.3. Where a Host Referrer’s approved credit under §3.2 exceeds what they owe the Provider on their own invoices, the Host Referrer may request that the unused balance be paid out by bank transfer instead, provided the Host Referrer has no outstanding unpaid invoice with the Provider at the time of the request. Such a payout, like any reward, is subject to the Provider’s approval and is not automatic.

3.4. The Provider may change the reward percentage, cap, and form (§2.1, §2.2, §3.1, §3.2) and the eligibility conditions (§2) at any time, with effect going forward; such a change does not affect a reward already earned under the Program Terms as they stood at the time.

4. Offer to the Referred Host

4.1. A Referred Host who registers via a Referrer’s link or code may receive a welcome benefit from the Provider — in particular an extended trial period (on the per-form plan) or a discount on their first subscription invoice (on a subscription plan). The specific benefit is shown at registration and may vary by the plan chosen.

4.2. The Referred Host is always shown that they were referred by a specific person, and that this person may earn a reward for their registration under §3.

5. Tax obligations

5.1. Taxation of the reward under §3.1 (the guest’s cash reward) is the sole responsibility of the guest as recipient. The Provider treats the reward as the guest’s occasional income and does not make any tax withholding on the guest’s behalf. This treatment reflects the Provider’s own assumption for a recipient who is a Czech tax resident. A recipient who is not tax-resident in the Czech Republic is responsible for determining the correct tax treatment of the reward under the law of their own country of residence.

5.2. The credit under §3.2 is reflected as a reduction of the invoiced amount; its tax treatment follows the general rules for discounts and credits under the Host Terms and Conditions.

6. Assisted Intro (“Refer with a personal note”)

6.1. A guest may provide the Provider with an accommodation provider’s email contact they wish to refer, together with a short personal note (the “Intro”).

6.2. Based on the Intro, the Provider sends exactly one email to the contact provided, containing the guest’s personal note and a clear statement that this is a guest-initiated referral. The Provider does not contact the Intro’s recipient again, and does not use their contact details for any other purpose.

6.3. If the recipient does not open the Intro within 30 days, the Provider automatically and permanently deletes their contact details (email address and message text).

6.4. By submitting an Intro, the guest confirms they are authorized to share the named person’s contact details with the Provider, and that the content of the message is accurate.

7. Ending the program

7.1. The Provider may suspend or end the referral program at any time. Ending the program does not affect a reward eligibility that arose before it ended.

8. Final provisions

8.1. These Program Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any matter not addressed by these Program Terms is governed, as applicable, by the Host Terms and Conditions or the Guest Terms.
