What the Registration Book is

The evidenční kniha records identity-document details for guests — most importantly foreign guests — staying at a Czech accommodation property: document type and number, nationality, and the relevant stay dates. It works alongside the House Book (domovní kniha) and feeds directly into UbyPort reporting, since UbyPort requires the same underlying identity data.

How it relates to UbyPort

The data captured in the Registration Book is largely the same data submitted to UbyPort for foreign guests. When guest registration is automated, a single validated submission from the guest can populate both the Registration Book and the UbyPort report, rather than requiring the same details to be entered twice.

Why accuracy matters here specifically

Because the Registration Book is tied directly to identity documents, errors here are the ones most likely to surface during an inspection or cause a mismatched UbyPort report. Validating document numbers and details at the point of entry — rather than after the fact — is the most effective way to keep this record accurate.
