Get guests to pay the local fee without chasing them down

Turn it on once per accommodation — Best Guest then calculates the exact amount on every closed reservation and sends the guest a QR code to scan, plus a PayPal, Revolut, or Wise link too if you've added one.

Guest Payments

How It Works

From the calculated amount to a completed payment — no manual currency conversion, no typing out an account number.

1

Turn on QR collection and add your account

In your accommodation settings, turn on local-fee collection via QR code and add the account number (IBAN) guests should pay into. PayPal, Revolut, and Wise are optional extras.

2

Best Guest calculates the exact amount

The same calculation used for your municipality report — no gap between what the guest owes and what you file.

3

The guest gets a scannable QR code

When the reservation closes, Best Guest sends the primary guest a payment QR code — automatically in the format their bank recognizes: Czech QR Platba, Slovak PAY by square, or the pan-European EPC standard for everyone else.

4

PayPal, Revolut, or Wise as an option

If you've added your PayPal.me, Revolut.me, or Wise link, Best Guest turns it into a link for the guest with the amount and currency already filled in — one tap, nothing to retype.

5

You confirm it, the guest gets a receipt

Once you mark the payment received, the guest sees a receipt instead of a payment prompt.

What's Included

What Best Guest handles for you:

  • Automatic QR format selection based on the guest's own banking country (Czech QR Platba, Slovak PAY by square, pan-European EPC)
  • Currency conversion for foreign guests, with the exchange rate used shown transparently
  • Optional PayPal, Revolut, and Wise links with the amount and currency pre-filled
  • Bank account / IBAN always available as a fallback, with one-tap copy
  • Paid-status tracking — once you confirm payment, the guest sees a receipt instead of a payment prompt

Benefits

Get paid sooner, with no chasing

The guest can pay right at check-in or check-out instead of waiting on an email, or handing over cash at a front desk nobody staffs.

The exact amount you owe the municipality

What the guest pays is the same calculation as your report — no gap to reconcile later.

Works for foreign guests too

Whether the guest is Czech, Slovak, or from elsewhere in Europe, they get a payment format their bank can read, in the right currency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the guest need a specific bank or app?

No. QR Platba, PAY by square, and EPC are standard formats that practically every banking app in Czechia, Slovakia, and the rest of Europe already supports — the guest just opens their own bank's app and scans.

Do I need PayPal, Revolut, or Wise?

No, they're optional extras. The bank QR code and account number always work on their own.

Who confirms the guest actually paid?

Best Guest doesn't collect or verify the payment itself — the money goes straight to your account. Once you confirm you've received it, the guest sees a receipt instead of a payment prompt.

Is this the same account I use for my municipality report?

Yes, deliberately — it's the account the municipality identifies you by on the local-fee report, so a guest's payment lands exactly where you'll draw the fee from when you remit it.

Does this work for guests from outside Czechia and Slovakia?

Yes. The PayPal, Revolut, and Wise links work regardless of the guest's nationality, and the EPC QR format is readable by banking apps across Europe — the amount is converted to euros automatically when needed.
