Guesty centralizes communication across all your connected channels, which makes it the ideal place to automate guest registration. Best Guest connects in two ways:

  • Automated messages — Guesty Message Automations deliver your registration link at the right moment.
  • iCal sync — Best Guest imports every reservation Guesty manages.

Before you start

  • An active Guesty account with connected channels

Using the right link: every listing — each apartment, room, tent, RV, or whatever counts as your smallest bookable unit — has its own unique registration link. If you manage more than one listing, double-check you’re copying the correct one. Find all your links in Best Guest under Properties → [property] → Listings → Copy listing link, or grab them during the Listings step of onboarding.

Path 1 — Message Automation

In Guesty, a Message Automation is the whole timeline; your registration request is one step inside the guest journey rather than a standalone reminder. Message Automations use two levels: reservation conditions (which reservations qualify) and message conditions (when to send to those reservations).

Setting up the automation

  1. Go to Guest Communication → Message Automations → Create Automation.
  2. Name it “Best Guest Registration”.

Reservation conditions

Set which reservations enter the automation:

  • Status: Confirmed
  • Optionally add Channel or Property filters if you want different messaging per channel

Message conditions and delivery

Add a message that sends at the right moment:

  1. Click + Add message.
  2. Set the trigger: 2 days before check-in.
  3. Set recipient: Guest.
  4. Set delivery channel: Platform Message (recommended for best reach; email is a good fallback).
  5. Enable “Send immediately for late bookings” so registrations requested after the scheduled time send right after confirmation.

Paste the template:

Save and Apply changes. Guesty applies future scheduled messages to matching reservations.

Best Guest automatically reminds the main guest if they started registration but haven’t finished it. If a guest never opens the form at all, though, that reminder can’t reach them — so it’s worth scheduling a second Message Automation, timed 1 day after arrival instead of before it, using only the link:

Path 2 — iCal sync

To import Guesty reservations into Best Guest’s Reservation Verification, copy the property’s iCal / calendar export link from Guesty and paste it into Best Guest. Best Guest then flags any stay still missing a completed registration.

  • Booking confirmed → confirmation only
  • 2 days before arrival → registration link
  • Arrival day → access instructions
  • 1 day after arrival → reminder for guests who haven’t completed registration
  • Day before departure → checkout reminder

Troubleshooting

Message didn’t send — check reservation/message conditions, scheduled timing, and that the automation is active.

Reservation missing in Best Guest — verify the URL and ?channel=guesty.
